When travelling on foot, you'll need to ensure your luggage fits within our baggage allowances. Reading our policies before arriving will help ensure you sail through Check-In.
You can carry one small bag plus one handbag or laptop bag aboard with you.
Carry-on bag limits are:
- Maximum weight: 7kg
- Maximum size: 118 linear centimetres
For the safety and comfort of everyone on board, large bags are not allowed in our passenger areas and must be checked in.
All large bags and suitcases must be checked in, this includes wheeled cabin bags and backpacks.
You may check in two bags as standard. Additional bags can be added at $5 per item (see below).
Check-in luggage limits are:
- Two 2 bags per person
- Maximum weight: 32 kilograms per bag
- Maximum size 200 linear centimetres*
Small musical instruments can be taken aboard as hand luggage.
Large musical instruments weighing more than 7kg or classed as oversized will need to be checked in.
Bags over 32kg or 200 linear centimetres cannot be accepted.
Excess luggage charges
If you need to check in more than two bags and/or musical instruments, then you can pay for Excess Luggage.

Noddies: luggage trailers for oversize luggage
A limited number of noddies are available for transporting oversized luggage.
To enquire about hiring a noddy, please ring 0800 802 802 and we will do our best to arrange one for you in advance.
If you arrive for your sailing with oversized luggage without pre-booking a noddy, then we cannot guarantee we will be able to carry your luggage.

All of our ships have bicycle racks in the vehicle decks. Rack space is limited, so we recommend booking in advance.
