Play for your crossing

Bands on Board is back! From 1 June we are welcoming back bands and performers who want to entertain our passengers for a free trip across Cook Strait on the Kaitaki.

There is one Bands on Board sailing per day in each direction, at 9.00am from Wellington to Picton, and at 2.15pm from Picton to Wellington.

This offer is open to bands and entertainers who would like to perform onboard Kaitaki in return for free passage*. Once you submit your application, completed in full, we will review and let you know via email.

You must apply at least one month prior to desired travel date and performances must be family-friendly. We review applications twice per month, and will get back to you as soon as we can. Check the calendar and find a date that suits.

Please complete all the fields on this form and click submit to apply for free passage in exchange for performing on-board.
